An At Home PRN RN is a registered nurse who provides nursing care to patients in their homes on a 'PRN' (pro re nata, or as needed) basis. This role typically involves visiting patients to perform assessments, administer medications, wound care, and coordinate care plans based on individual needs. At Home PRN RNs often face challenges such as working independently without immediate support, managing diverse patient needs across multiple homes, and adapting quickly to different home environments. To thrive as an At Home PRN RN, you need current RN licensure, strong clinical assessment abilities, and experience in home health or acute care settings. Excellent communication, autonomy, and time management are standout soft skills for this role. These skills ensure safe, effective patient care and smooth coordination while working independently in a home health environment.

How can I work from home as an RN?

An At Home PRN RN can work remotely by providing telehealth services, conducting patient assessments, and offering medical advice via phone or video consultations.
