Job Description

Job Title: Game Tester
Location: Redmond, WA

Schedule: 8am-4.45 pm. Tentatively 8-40hrs/week.
Compensation: $11/hr for English testers & $14/hr for Language testers

Joining Date: ASAP

Contract: On-call contract

*This is not a work-from-home opportunity. Work must be done onsite.

*No part-time work available. The candidate has to be available for all the 8 hours.

Requirements:

  • High School graduate preferred.
  • Must be 18 years or above
  • Intermediate knowledge with PCs
  • Experience with console videogames strongly preferred
  • Experience with Beta Testing a plus
  • Certificate in QA a plus
  • Very open availability preferred (Minimum 4-5 days in a week)
  • Ability to reply to SMS notification at short notice
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Gamer Culture a plus
  • Must be legally allowed to work in the US

Responsibilities:
Follow, complete, and update assigned test cases.
Detect, research, and document software defects in a bug tracking system. Confirm fixes.
Review product documentation, and report any errors as required.
Sweeping game builds for bugs and software errors.
Perform ad-hoc testing procedures to find bugs and game play` issues.
Working through test plans to check possible in-game combination problems.
Generating bugs reports, clearly describing how the bugs can be reproduced.
Checking games for spellings, ratings, technical requirements and legal issues

Qualifications
