Job description

Job Summary:
Walsworth, one of the top high school yearbook companies and the 27th largest printer in the U.S., is seeking a Graphic Designer in their Overland Park office to fill a temporary opening for approximately 12 weeks, beginning around October 2026. We offer a highly focused, dynamic, collaborative team environment and are looking for a talented designer to join our Marketing team.
This hourly, non-exempt role is 100% on-site in our Overland Park office with an 8 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday schedule. This Graphic Designer reports to our Graphic Design Manager. There may be some flexibility on work location or schedule for the temporary role after an initial training period.
Responsibilities:
  • Creativity in concepting and presenting compelling visual designs with a goal to educate, motivate and engage customers, prospects and internal departments.
  • Responsible for designing marketing materials and ensuring they are on brand for the Corporate, Yearbook or Commercial divisions.
  • Collaborates internally as well as with project requestors to conceptualize and execute creative solutions that can be translated across various platforms such as print, digital and experiential.
  • Ability to work on multiple design projects simultaneously and to meet agreed-upon deadlines.
  • Responsible for supporting other designers and working independently to complete all projects.

Experience:
  • Two-plus years of work experience, preferably within a marketing group
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft office on Mac
  • Strong creative, organizational, problem solving and time-management skills
  • Experience in print and digital design; manufacturing and production experience a plus
  • HTML and web design experience a plus
  • Product photography experience a plus
  • Familiarity with yearbook and/or Walsworth is a plus

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a Creative Arts related field or a related function OR
  • Associate degree in a Creative Arts related field and 2 years of experience in Graphic Design or a related function OR
  • High School Diploma or GED and six years' experience in Graphic Design or a related function
  • Ability to work 100% on-site at our Walsworth - Overland Park office for 12 weeks with the possibility of hybrid work (1-2 days remote per week) following initial training period
  • Must be able to pass a standard, pre-employment drug screen, background check and social media screening
  • Must hold U.S. work authorization (Please note, Walsworth does not offer employment sponsorship.)
