Position Summary

Join the SSC marketing team as a Video Editing Intern and help bring facilities management to life across K-12 schools and higher education campuses nationwide! SSC partners with educational institutions across the country to create clean, safe, and inspiring learning environments. As a Video Editing Intern, you'll help showcase the people, stories, and services that positively impact students every day.

In this role, you'll edit engaging video content that highlights SSC's support of student success through interviews, short-form videos, b-roll footage, and voiceovers that bring our teams' work to life. You'll also assist in the production and editing of informational videos that support internal training, programs, and company initiatives.

You'll play a key role in shaping how students, clients, faculty, and prospective employees view the custodians, groundskeepers, maintenance technicians, and support teams who keep campuses operating at their best.

Key Responsibilities
  • Edit pre-recorded marketing video content for client communications, internal communications, and social media.
  • Maintain consistent branding across videos
  • Record and check transcripts of video interviews
  • Assist with planning footage shoots and storyboarding video concepts
  • Assist with local video & audio content capture when needed
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on company-wide programs and initiatives
  • Represent facilities management in a positive, energetic, and student-focused way

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with additional Adobe Creative Cloud suite programs is a plus

  • Preferred but not required: Marketing, Communications, Media, or related major
 Work Details
  • Flexible schedule (typically 15-25 hours/week between 8am-5pm)
  • This internship is primarily in-person at SSC's Knoxville office with opportunities to participate in on-location video shoots
 Learning Objectives
  • Develop a professional content portfolio by planning and editing video content for our socials, associates, and clients. 
  • Understand how to maintain brand consistency across multiple marketing channels both for internal company culture and client perception. 
  • Build professional collaboration skills by participating in marketing meetings, contributing to development ideas, and meeting project deadlines. 
  • Gain hands-on experience in managing projects and workflow for multiple concurrent project streams.

This is a paid intern position; however, it is not eligible for paid time off (PTO) or benefits such as medical, dental, vision, etc.
