Yahoo serves as a trusted guide for hundreds of millions of people globally, helping them achieve their goals online through our portfolio of iconic products. For advertisers, Yahoo Advertising offers omnichannel solutions and powerful data to engage with our brands and deliver results.

A Little About Us

The Yahoo Partnerships Design team crafts the foundational B2B portals, co-branded marketing experiences, and integrated platform touchpoints that power Yahoo's highest-value alliances. We bridge the gap between complex business requirements and elite consumer-facing visuals, setting the global standard for brand expression and visual consistency across all Yahoo products.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Design Leadership: Drive the strategic design vision and visual architecture for major partner-facing portals and brand-integrated platforms.

  • AI-Augmented Prototyping: Orchestrate advanced AI-assisted workflows (leveraging Anthropic Claude via AWS Bedrock and Atlassian AI) to rapidly generate high-fidelity prototypes, content variations, and interactive mockups.

  • Design Quality & Governance: Set the absolute quality bar for visual craft, obsessing over layout, brand consistency, typography, and micro-interactions across both product and marketing touchpoints.

  • AI-Driven Research Synthesis: Partner with UX Researchers to leverage AI-powered summarization and pattern detection tools on user test data, quickly converting raw feedback into actionable design iterations.

  • Upstream Collaboration: Work directly with senior executive stakeholders and external enterprise partners to translate high-stakes business strategies into intuitive, polished product experiences.

  • Scalable Framework Design: Author reusable visual frameworks, UI patterns, and co-branding templates that accelerate execution speeds across multiple product and design squads.

  • Strategic Communication: Present, defend, and negotiate design systems with clarity, confidence, and a strong rationale grounded in strategic business goals.

  • Mentorship & AI Mindset: Mentor senior designers (IC3/IC4), driving the team's professional development and building organizational competency in prompt engineering, asset automation, and AI-collaborative design.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Visual Communication, HCI, or a related field (firm requirement).

  • 8+ years of professional experience as a Product Designer, with a strong focus on high-craft visual design, typography, and complex layouts.

  • Demonstrated experience utilizing generative AI tools as a collaborative partner in design pipelines (e.g., automated layout generation, rapid copy variation testing, or insight extraction).

  • A world-class portfolio showcasing exceptional visual polish across both enterprise product portals and immersive marketing experiences.

  • Deep expertise in Figma and Framer, including creating advanced variables, responsive components, and high-fidelity transitions.

  • Proven experience designing and adapting interfaces across both iOS and Android platform guidelines.

  • Strong track record of leading cross-functional design initiatives and presenting directly to executive leadership or external clients.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with leveraging AI APIs or design-automation scripts to programmatically scale localized brand components.

  • Experience designing partner portals, advertising dashboards, or highly transactional B2B platforms.

  • A strong interest in emerging web-rendering graphics (such as Framer motion or advanced SVG styling) and a commitment to continuous learning in AI-augmented production environments.
