Job description

Test Engineer, Senior

The Opportunity:

Do you want to build and help procure and deliver the most advanced strategic military communications systems? Do you want to provide creative and resilient solutions to ensure the success of a critical national security mission? If this sounds like you, come join Booz Allen's strategic satellite communications (SATCOM) team to work on a top-priority space program.

On our team, you will work with Booz Allen colleagues, other support contractors, and U.S. Space Force personnel to develop and deploy the next generation of strategic military SATCOM capabilities. Your client will trust you to assist in the development of test and evaluation (T&E) strategies for a space system ground segment software program. You will work with ground segment integrated product teams to develop test strategies, support document development and execution, and monitor test activities for the ground segment. You will assist with key T&E processes and meetings, including interactions with other segments and the Integrated Test Force. Your expertise and innovative thinking will be critical to ensuring capabilities are delivered to meet the threat.

You Have:

  • 7+ years of experience supporting DoD T&E activities
  • 7+ years of experience performing T&E of space systems
  • 5+ years of experience performing T&E of software systems
  • Experience working with programs to successfully enter and exit assembly integration and test milestones
  • Experience working in a collaborative team environment, developing test strategies, plans, reports, or briefings, and participating in test execution, verification, or analysis
  • Experience using Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to communicate and establish collaborative relationships with government clients, Federally Funded Research and Developmental Centers (FFRDC), and associate contractor teammates to achieve program goals
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently, demonstrating initiative to complete complex tasks
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Mathematics, or CS field

Nice If You Have:

  • 2+ years of experience with a software program utilizing Agile methodologies
  • 2+ years of experience working with software factories or DevSecOps pipelines
  • 2+ years of experience with military SATCOM systems
  • Experience planning, executing, and reporting on Lead Developmental Test Organization or Operational Test Authority (OTA) organizations and related activities
  • Experience with Confluence or Jira
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master's degree
  • ITEA Certified Test and Evaluation Professional (CTEP) or other T&E Professional Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
