The Opportunity:

The Technical Project Manager is a trusted project implementation leader and advisor to our clients providing valuable expert guidance around technology implementations, relocations, or enhancements of their IT infrastructure, including proactive recommendations to deliver ongoing success to our clients. In this role, you will deliver across ECI’s entire portfolio and thus staycontinuously abreast of technology changes and the needs of our ECI clients.

The Technical Project Manager will develop relationships that lead to a total technology solution that will meet the client’s needs and that will deliver additional products and services while increasing sales, profitability, and maintaining client loyalty and retention. You are both a leader as well asa teacher with an ability to train others around them on PM best practices and principles. Lastly, you have well-developed financial acumen to drive profitability on their existing projects and keep the tradeoffs between time, cost, and quality front of mind for all stakeholders.

What you will do:

  • Be the single point of accountability for both client-facing as well as ECI’s economic outcomes related to ECI client-facing projects.
  • Represent the ECI brand as a critical client-facing touch point between New Logo Sales and CRM function.
  • Function as the top-level escalation point for project work.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to define project technology scope, create projections, define a schedule of work, and clearly document delivery expectations.
  • Chair internal and client project update meetings on a regular basis (as defined by the ECI PMO playbook) to review project status, manage potential risks, and coordinate project scheduling.
  • Manage project timelines and plans to ensure client objectives are met throughout the project implementation.
  • Oversee all expenses accumulated on their projects and manage project execution to budget.
  • Be responsible for accurate recognition of revenue and timely invoicing of project sales values.
  • Provide consistent project updates on a consistent, defined communication cadence.
  • Ensure that the practices and commons tools for project management defined in the ECI PMO playbook are observed and maintained.
  • Stay continuously abreast of technology changes and the needs of our ECI clients
  • Act as a liaison between the client, ECI, and technology vendors to orchestrate, schedule, and track major projects and initiatives.
  • Serve as point of contact and manage needs gathering and administration stiving to bridge any information gaps between client, vendor, and internal resources.
  • Coordinate projects, communications, tasks, and status efforts on behalf of the client.

Who you are:

  • BA/BS degree Computer Science, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Managed services provider (MSP) experience.
  • Strong MS Word and PowerPoint skills for presentations.
  • Experience with front-facing interface with clients from both a client relationship as well as a commercial perspective.
  • Ability to travel locally when required for client meetings.
  • Proven track record of owning project budgets and delivering outcomes.
  • Well-developed financial acumen to drive profitability on their existing projects and keep the tradeoffs between time, cost, and quality front of mind for all stakeholders
  • Able to own technology projects with a high level of delegation.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud computing, end user support, and network security
  • Well-developed influencing skills and a track record of leading diverse teams
  • Ability to juggle multiple ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to apply project management methodologies and strategies to reduce potential project risk throughout the duration of the project lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project accounting principles and practice
