You'll also provide project management support, coordinating cross-functional tasks to ensure customer projects are driven to successful completion.
To be successful in this role, you should be organized, an amazing communicator, and interested in tackling a wide range of projects. You should have energy industry experience with a hunger for learning and promoting novel technologies and ideas in the industry.
On a given day, you may...

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for technical and project-specific customer inquiries as the projects go through implementation and onboarding
  • Review project documentation, including drawing sets and customer requirements, to define the project scope
  • Quote Wattch monitoring/controls solutions that best fit customer needs
  • Develop system design concepts and technical specifications in response to customer requests
  • Assist Application Engineers and the support team during new project deployments to provide clarifications and context specific to the project
  • Work cross-functionally to manage project timelines, deliverables, and budgets to ensure successful project completion and proactively identify project gaps
  • Work with the Engineering and Operations teams to evaluate potential parts and vendors for non-standard projects and for adding new capabilities into the Wattch-approved AVL
  • Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and training sessions to educate customers on Wattch capabilities (software and hardware)
  • Help to refine internal processes for project fulfillment
You're perfect for this role if you have...
  • At least 3 years of experience in a customer-facing role in the solar, energy storage, or building controls space (commercial & industrial, distributed generation, and/or utility-scale renewable generation and storage projects)
  • Experience with hardware communication setups and protocols, including configuring and troubleshooting serial (RS-485), Modbus, TCP/IP, and other industrial communication standards
  • Basic knowledge of electrical principles, including the ability to read and interpret drawing sets for solar and storage projects
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts verbally and in writing to audiences with varying levels of technical proficiency
  • High attention to detail with a bias for action
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% for site visits, customer meetings, and conferences
Bonus points if you also have...
  • A controls background with knowledge of principles like open vs. closed loop controls, relaying/feeder protection principles, etc.
  • Proven experience with interconnections such as ERCOT, CAISO, ISONE, NYISO, or Duke Energy
  • Are familiar with industry standard design codes such as National Electric Code (NEC), UL508a, and other industry standards
  • Live in Atlanta or are interested in relocating to Atlanta (remote candidates considered)

Even if you don't feel that you meet every single requirement, we still encourage you to apply. We're eager to meet people who believe in our mission and can contribute to our team in a variety of ways.
Company Benefits
  • Unlimited PTO, plus 11 paid federal holidays and office closed last week of the year
  • Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) to cover medical expenses and insurance premiums
  • Incentive Stock Options (ISO)
  • Office on the Eastside Beltline in Atlanta (in office 3 days per week, work from home Tuesdays and Thursdays, some hybrid flexibility)
  • Small, highly collaborative team with direct access to founders and tons of growth opportunities
