Job description

Total Aviation Staffing is hiring a Material Handling Technician for our client in Mansfield, Texas.

This role is ideal for a dependable, detail-oriented warehouse professional with experience in material handling, inventory control, shipping and receiving, forklift operation, and warehouse organization. You will help ensure materials and products are received, stored, moved, tracked, and shipped accurately while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

What You’ll Do

As a Material Handling Technician, you will support the effective movement, storage, and tracking of materials throughout the warehouse.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials, products, and shipments.
  • Store materials in designated areas according to company procedures.
  • Pick, pack, stage, and prepare orders for shipment.
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks, containers, and delivery vehicles.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and support regular stock counts.
  • Report inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, or shipment issues.
  • Keep warehouse areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Follow safety regulations, company procedures, and material handling best practices.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve warehouse efficiency and daily workflow.
  • Support general warehouse, shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, or material handling environment.
  • Basic understanding of material handling, shipping, receiving, and inventory procedures.
  • Ability to safely operate or learn to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and related warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical warehouse tasks.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures and company policies.
  • Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Forklift certification or prior forklift operator experience.
  • Experience using inventory management systems or warehouse management systems.
  • Prior experience with stock counts, cycle counts, order picking, and shipment preparation.
  • Familiarity with warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
  • Material handling certification or related training.
