Job description

Overview

This position is responsible for providing equipment operational support for Research and Development to product development teams at the Plano GPCs (TPC/Process Lab). This position will be responsible for operating food processing equipment on multiple platforms, equipment/line set up, troubleshooting equipment and process operational issues, and will provide support to site EHS compliance programs.


Responsibilities
  • Provide operational support for Research and Development product development teams.
  • Working in the Plano Process Lab or at the Technology Process Center, operate a variety of food processing equipment.,
  • Operate food processing equipment efficiently with a minimum of downtime to meet daily development objectives.
  • Work effectively in a team environment.,
  • Partner with R&D engineers and food scientists to understand test objectives and deliver exceptional development operational support.
  • Actively participate in all team continuous improvement training and skill development activities.
  • Work with limited supervision to complete both assigned and self-identified tasks.,
  • Accurately manage daily run information – Safety, Food Safety, Environmental, run data sheets, and work order submittal
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ensure daily test runs are executed safely

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $45,900 - $73,250.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Required (preferred Associate Technical Degree) and 3+ Years of working experience in a manufacturing/production environment or in an R&D testing center, preferably in the food industry. 
  • Experience and knowledge of food processing equipment, production, and/or test systems.
  • Ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot, food processing equipment. 
  • Ability to provide solutions to process related issues.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Self-starter, ability to work minimal supervision.
  • Flexible – willingness to work off-shifts and weekends. Willingness to flex between work sites (Dallas Technology Process Center and Plano Process Lab).
  • Excellent teamwork.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work safely in an industrial environment.
  • Basic computer skills required.
