Summary

We are seeking a motivated and technically inclined Technical Training Instructor to support the delivery and development of training initiatives for SENS Stored Energy Systems. This role will work under the direction of the Training and Development Manager and will focus on creating and delivering instructional content including video-based training, classroom instruction, and hands-on learning for internal teams, partners, and customers.

The ideal candidate has a strong electrical or technical trade background, experience in classroom or instructional settings, and a passion for teaching and content creation. This role requires a positive, team-oriented attitude, the ability to research and present technical material clearly, and a willingness to travel occasionally to support training delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development, delivery, and maintenance of technical training programs for SENS products under the guidance of the Training and Development Manager.
  • Create instructional content including training videos, presentations, manuals, and other learning materials that communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Assist in delivering classroom, virtual, and hands-on training sessions for employees, partners, and customers.
  • Collaborate with engineering, product management, sales, and customer support teams to gather technical information and translate it into effective instructional content.
  • Conduct research on product functionality, installation practices, and field feedback to continuously improve training materials.
  • Support the evaluation of training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and instructor observations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SENS products, electrical systems, and energy storage technologies to ensure training content remains accurate and relevant.
  • Assist with preparation, setup, and coordination of training sessions, including light travel as needed.


Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree, trade degree, technical certification, or 2 years equivalent hands-on experience in an electrical, energy, or technical field.
  • 2+ years of experience in teaching, training, instructional design, or classroom instruction (technical or trade-focused preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience creating instructional content, including video-based training and presentation materials.
  • Trade or field experience with an electrical or electronic systems focus (e.g., batteries, power systems, electrical installations, energy systems, or related fields).
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to varied audiences.
  • Positive attitude with a strong team-player mindset and willingness to learn and grow within the role.
  • Solid research and organizational skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in technical content.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, Education, Technical Training, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of field experience servicing, troubleshooting, or installing systems.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.
  • Classroom teaching experience in technical, trade, or industrial environments.
  • Experience with instructional video production, e-learning tools, or learning management systems (LMS).
  • Technical certifications or licenses related to electrical systems, energy storage, or power technologies.
  • Prior experience supporting training programs in manufacturing, energy, electrical, or industrial settings.


Location: This position is located on-site in Longmont, CO.


Base Compensation: $31 - $34 is the projected hourly wage for this role and will be determined on the candidate’s overall qualifications and experience.

Bonus: This position is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
