Job description

Description
The Department of Nuclear Engineering and Radiological Sciences in the College of Engineering of the University of Michigan, an international leader in the field of nuclear engineering and radiological sciences, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position. The appointment is targeted at the tenure-track assistant or associate professor level but all applicants will be considered. The Department will consider all qualified applicants with particular interest in expertise in corrosion; advanced reactor design; public policy, systems, & innovation; and radiation detection.
Applicants are expected to have demonstrated outstanding research and scholarship in their technical fields. In addition to conducting research, faculty members are expected to teach and mentor students at both the undergraduate and graduate level, and to supervise student research.
We seek faculty members who commit to excellence in graduate and undergraduate education, will develop impactful, productive and novel research programs, and will contribute to the department's goal of eliminating systemic racism and sexism by embracing our culture of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI).
