Mammography Systems Field Service Engineer
Location: Houston, Texas (Full-time, Permanent)
Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 + Benefits Package
About Company: A leading healthcare services organization supporting diagnostic imaging departments across hospitals, outpatient imaging centers, and women's health facilities throughout the Houston region. The organization is committed to delivering exceptional equipment performance and reliability to ensure the highest standards of patient care and clinical efficiency.
Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Mammography Systems Field Service Engineer to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of advanced mammography equipment across multiple customer sites. This field-based position will focus on maximizing equipment uptime through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, calibrations, and system performance verification.The successful candidate will primarily support Hologic mammography systems and will serve as a trusted technical resource, providing expert support to clinical teams while ensuring all equipment operates within manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.This role includes participation in an on-call rotation and offers the opportunity to work with industry-leading breast imaging technologies in a growing healthcare market.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled inspections on mammography systems
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and software-related equipment issues
  • Conduct system calibrations and performance testing to manufacturer standards
  • Complete service documentation and maintain accurate maintenance records
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Respond to service calls and minimize equipment downtime
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
  • Support equipment installations, upgrades, and system relocations as required
  • Participate in an on-call support rotation

Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of field service experience supporting diagnostic imaging equipment
  • Experience servicing mammography systems, with preference given to candidates familiar with Hologic platforms
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across electrical, mechanical, and software systems
  • Associate degree in Electronics, Biomedical Equipment Technology, Imaging Technology, military training, or equivalent technical experience
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the Houston area
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
