Job description

Staff Associate I

Scott County Young Life is seeking a full-time Staff Associate I to help lead and grow ministry in Scott County, Minnesota, serving primarily at Prior Lake High School. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a healthy, established ministry with strong momentum, an experienced leadership team, and deep community roots built over more than 25 years of ministry. The anticipated start date of this role is July 15, 2026. The Staff Associate will work closely with the Area Director in a thriving area that includes both Young Life and WyldLife ministry. The ideal candidate is relational, self-motivated, spiritually grounded, and excited to build authentic relationships with high school students, volunteer leaders, parents, and community partners.

Scott County Young Life is a growing and robust ministry serving students in a supportive and connected community. The ministry currently has:

  • Established ministry systems and community support
  • Strong involvement at Prior Lake High School
  • A history of impactful ministry spanning more than 25 years

Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop meaningful relationships with high school students at Prior Lake High School
  • Lead and support weekly Young Life club, Campaigners, and contact work
  • Recruit, train, and shepherd volunteer leaders
  • Partner with parents, school staff, churches, and community supporters
  • Assist in ministry strategy, communication, and area events
  • Participate in Young Life training and staff development
  • Support the overall mission and vision of Scott County Young Life
