Staff Accountant (Contract-to-Hire)
Location: Riverside, CA
Compensation: $26-$33 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Full-Time

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing accounting team in Riverside. This contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys a hands-on role and is looking for long-term career growth. The Staff Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and assist with month-end close activities.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments
  • Perform monthly bank and general ledger reconciliations
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Analyze financial data and investigate account discrepancies
  • Maintain fixed asset schedules and depreciation records
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare supporting schedules
  • Assist with audit requests and financial reporting requirements
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
  • Support special projects and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
  • 2+ years of accounting experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
