Job description

Salary Range: 95k to 105k

Weโ€™re seeking a driven and detail-oriented SQL Server DBA to oversee and enhance our enterprise database landscape. In this role, youโ€™ll be responsible for maintaining high system availability, supporting disaster recovery strategies, managing reporting environments, and ensuring reliable ETL operations across the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and support SQL Server databases to maintain strong performance, stability, and uptime.
  • Configure and administer high-availability and disaster recovery solutions, such as Always On Availability Groups.
  • Manage SSRS environments, including report deployments, data-source configuration, access management, and subscription maintenance.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot SSIS packages to keep ETL processes running efficiently and consistently.
  • Conduct backups, restores, patching, and version upgrades to ensure database integrity.
  • Improve performance through query optimization, indexing strategies, and proactive system monitoring.
  • Apply and maintain robust database security practices.
  • Partner with IT teams to coordinate database changes and reduce production risks.
  • Create and maintain documentation for database setups, ETL procedures, and recovery workflows.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Hands-on SQL Server administration (installation, configuration, upgrades, patching)
  • Expertise with high-availability technologies: Always On, clustering, log shipping
  • Experience managing SSRS and SSIS in production environments
  • Strong background in backup/restore operations and disaster-recovery planning
  • Solid T-SQL abilities and troubleshooting skills
  • Performance-tuning and system-monitoring experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud database platforms (Azure SQL, AWS RDS)
  • Familiarity with automation and monitoring tools (PowerShell, SQL Agent, DBATools)
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines for database deployments
