Job Summary
The Senior SQL Server DBA will support database management software upgrades and ensure the reliability, performance, and security of SQL Server environments. This role involves close collaboration with technical teams and requires strong expertise in high availability solutions and performance optimization.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and manage Microsoft SQL Server instances
  • Perform regular database upgrades, patching, and SQL migrations
  • Monitor database health, availability, and overall system performance
  • Implement and support high availability solutions (Always On clustering, replication, log shipping)
  • Manage database security (logins, roles, permissions, AD groups)
  • Collaborate with application teams, developers, and systems infrastructure teams
Skills & Certifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2016/2019/2022)
  • Expertise in installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades
  • Strong knowledge of T-SQL, indexing, query tuning, and performance optimization
