Job description

End to End Associate Solutions Architect
Thomson Reuters is running large enterprise transformation programmes to change how Lead to Support processes work, and commercial services need to be onboarded through both digital channels and enterprise platforms as part of that change.
We need someone who can design the end-to-end architecture for that onboarding, keep it aligned with the wider technology strategy, and make sure business stakeholders and technical teams stay on the same page as it's built.
About the Role
What you will have achieved by the end of year one:
  • Delivered a live architecture roadmap: defined and updated the solution roadmap for at least one architecture area you own, and stakeholders are using it to plan, not just referencing it as a document.
  • Shipped an architectural design into a transformation programme: produced an architectural design for an enterprise transformation programme (or existing one), with technology components that fit the overall technology strategy, and can show it was actually adopted by the delivery teams.
  • Become the working point of contact for stakeholder issues: business teams, product owners, and project management bring you roadmap and process questions directly, and you resolve or route them without the issue stalling.
  • Operated inside architecture governance: participated in the Design Authority structure and Solution Review board, and can point to at least one solution that went through your governance review before being approved.
  • Produced usable architecture artifacts: delivered business process, data model, system, sequence, and process flow diagrams that other teams actually referenced during build.

About You
What we need you to have done before (and why):
  • A wide variety of solutions architecture experience across multiple business contexts, ideally with consulting experience at a leading IT consultancy or large corporate, because you'll be designing architecture for varied, high-stakes transformation programmes, not a single narrow system.
  • Solid experience with market-leading CRM and Self Service platforms, and integrating CRM to ERP, Middleware, and Web Content Management Systems, because the commercial services onboarding this role supports runs through exactly these integrations.
  • Experience working with agile teams and methodologies across globally distributed teams, because delivery here happens across multiple locations and needs a shared way of working.
  • A track record within Blue Chip clients, because the scale and complexity of stakeholders and systems here mirrors that environment.
  • A good understanding of AWS cloud services, specifically Lambda, API Gateway, RDS PostgreSQL, and S3, because these are the specific services the architecture is built on.
