Job description

Solution Consultants are team players who can create product demonstrations to prospects, customers, and partners (everyone from developers to project managers to C-level executives) on the best ways to build and deploy applications on the company for their teams. They are involved in all stages of the customer's lifecycle and are comfortable using presentations, email, and phone to connect with customers.
 
Solution Consultants should be high energy evangelists of the product, empathize with customers' business needs, and quickly discern technical challenges by asking detailed and clarifying questions and presenting solutions that solve those needs.
Ideal candidate has the rare combination of technical savviness and business acumen and is looking for a career that can utilize both. As a Sales Engineer, you will hone these skills by advising a diverse set of customers and partners on what is possible using the company's platform.
 
Responsibilities
  • Support the sales team, RFP team, and operations team as the key technical advisor and SME for the Five9 contact center.
  • Support the sales team in helping prospects and partners understand what is possible on the Five9 platform.
  • Understand business requirements and communicate the value of solving business problems using cloud technology through charismatic demos of the Five9 CCaaS product suite.
  • Assist with delivering proof of concept (POCs/Trials) to prospects, collaborating with other sales engineering and product management team members as needed.
  • Prepare specification documents to pass implementation details on to Professional Services team.
  • Create content to show partners or train new team members how to implement specific requirements or best practices for building and deploying applications and solutions on the company.
  • Clearly distill and communicate customer needs and product feedback to Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales.

  • Excitement for customer-facing experiences.
  • Ability to quickly communicate sophisticated ideas clearly to all audiences, technical or not, operators and C-level execs.
  • Fabulous communicator, great team player.
  • Confident dispensing knowledge to a highly skilled and experienced audience.
  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with APIs is a plus.
