ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join their team in Arizona, focusing on building and supporting healthcare technology solutions that enhance health plan operations such as claims adjudication, eligibility and benefits management, provider data, member engagement, and regulatory reporting. In this fast-paced, Agile environment, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop secure, scalable, and reliable applications that improve the healthcare experience for members and providers. The role offers hands-on experience with application design, software development, automated testing, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, leveraging AI and automation to drive innovation and efficiency. You will receive tailored coaching, technical mentorship, and real-time feedback, providing a strong foundation for a successful career in technology while gaining exposure to complex healthcare systems and data.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise healthcare applications in collaboration with Agile product teams to support key business objectives.
  • Explore and leverage AI and automation technologies to streamline repetitive work, improve efficiency, and foster innovation and collaboration with creative problem-solvers.
  • Gain hands-on experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and observability practices, using metrics, logs, and system outputs to monitor application health, performance, and reliability.
  • Support testing, deployment, and ongoing production support efforts to ensure high-quality, reliable applications that meet customer needs and service-level expectations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX, DevOps, and Application Solutions, to deliver secure and scalable solutions.
  • Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle and practice Agile methodologies.
  • Apply object-oriented programming and relational database design principles in software development tasks.
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 0-3 years of experience in Java, .Net, or Object Oriented Programming (educational, internship, or professional experience accepted).
  • Experience with Python programming (educational, internship, or professional experience accepted).
  • Hands-on experience with application design, software development, and automated testing.
  • Understanding of object-oriented and relational database design.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple teams, including UI/UX design, DevOps, and Application Solutions.
  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and experience practicing Agile methodologies.
