The Vistex Associate PreSales role is designed to prepare new-grads and young professionals for a career as a Solution Engineer. Candidates hired will initially work as a Presales Associate, reporting directly to the Director, Solution Engineering, and will be located in the Vistex Hoffman Estates, IL office. During the first 6 months, candidates will take part in formal training, learning baseline SAP knowledge, as well as technical and functional capabilities of the Vistex Go-To-Market Suites. In addition to training, during this time, candidates will have the opportunity to assist in the build and delivery of customized demo scenarios for potential and existing customers of the Vistex Go-To-Market Suites. This position is located in Hoffman Estates, IL.
Following 6 months of training, candidates will be assigned to a peer mentor and will continue to assist will day-to-day activities, job shadowing, continued training, and special projects. After one year of employment and completion of requirements, candidates will be promoted to Presales Specialist, with the expectation of being promoted to a Solution Engineer within 1-2 years.
In addition, candidates can expect to have frequent interaction with Sales, Marketing, Client Services, and Product Management as well as external prospect/client-facing interactions. Candidate must be able to travel across the U.S. and internationally.
Responsibilities:
  • Participate in SAP baseline training and Vistex Go-To-Market Suites technical and functional training
  • Develop and maintain technical, product functionality, and operational knowledge of Vistex software products
  • Collaborate closely with Solution Engineers, Sales team members, prospects, and client contacts ranging from systems administrators, and end-users to C-level leadership to assist with gathering all necessary business and technical requirements to build successful, customized product demonstrations
  • Assist with product demos and technical presentations for potential clients, partners, and sales team via audio/video web-based conferencing, phone, and on prospect/client site
  • In partnership with Solution Engineers, reply to RFQ's, RFI's and RFP's with the appropriate level of business and technical depth depending on the prospect/client organization, contact, and audience
  • Assist with presentations for company events and trade shows
  • Other duties as required or directed

The compensation for this position is $60K - $70K annually. Base pay will vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, a candidate's location, job-related knowledge, skills and work experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus.
