Role Overview 
As an Associate Software Engineer, you will contribute to projects to modernize and optimize our codebase. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers to identify, address, and reduce technical debt to ensure systems remain reliable and efficient.  

  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Contribute to development tasks focused on reducing technical debt and improving code quality, with guidance from senior team members
  • Solve defined technical problems and seek support from the team as needed
  • Participate in code reviews, receive feedback, and build technical skills while gaining experience with modern technologies and AI tools
  • Apply foundational knowledge of software development practices, including documentation, testing, debugging, and data structures
  • Maintain metrics and complete tasks in alignment with defined processes.

Qualifications 

  • Degree in Computer Science, related fields, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Basic knowledge of Agile frameworks and tools like Jira and Confluence.

Our targeted starting base salary in the United States for this position ranges from  [$60,000 - $125,000 USD]. To determine a new team member’s starting pay, we consider a variety of factors, including someone’s depth, breadth, and variety of experience, skills, and responsibilities. Depending on the role, team members may also be eligible to participate in additional compensation plans such as bonus and commission.
