What You’ll Do as the Transportation Project Manager

You will oversee multiple IDOT phase I, II or phase III projects across various offices while managing and tracking the project backlog.

  • Manage client relationships, cultivating new business connections, and collaborating with the Business Development Team to identify IDOT PTB items to pursue.
  • Managing current IDOT Phase I and II engineering projects as well as County and Municipal Transportation projects.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction, retention, and alignment with business objectives.


What You’ll Bring to the Table

  • Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) License in the state of Illinois or ability to obtain
  • Education: A Bachelors degree in Engineering (Civil Engineering is preferred)
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience working on IDOT roadway and bridge design projects, and managing/mentoring civil engineering staff
  • Location: Decatur, IL - Rockford, IL- Lafayette, IN - Schaumburg, IL - Hybrid schedule is available
  • Software skills: Microsoft 365, MicroStation/Open Roads and Adobe (AutoCAD Civil 3D beneficial)
  • Adaptability: excel at adapting to changing project requirements.
