What You’ll Do as the Senior Project Engineer - Water/Wastewater - Municipal Dept

You will lead potable, storm, and wastewater infrastructure projects with confidence and clarity. Your deep experience in civil engineering and project management, paired with strong leadership and communication skills, will ensure outstanding service to our clients.

  • Serve as the project engineer for a variety of water-related infrastructure projects

  • Oversee the full project lifecycle: initiation, design, construction, and closeout

  • Ensure project delivery aligns with scope, budget, schedule, and quality standards

  • Develop and manage proposals, plans, specifications, estimates, and grant documentation

  • Conduct on-site investigations and feasibility studies across multiple domains

  • Lead client relationships and participate in business development

  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment and efficiency

What You’ll Bring to the Table

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil Engineering preferred)

  • Licensure: PE license in Illinois or ability to obtain within 1 year

  • Experience: 10+ years in U.S.-based civil engineering or governmental infrastructure work

  • Location: Based in or willing to relocate to Paris, IL (hybrid schedule available)

  • Software: Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Adobe and AutoCAD

  • Client Engagement: Strong relationship-building and client-facing skills
