Job Overview:
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to modern laboratory transformation initiatives, collaborate with global scientific teams, and develop expertise at the intersection of science and digital laboratory systems.
R&D Associate Scientist - LIMS Development plays a key role in supporting laboratory digitalization initiatives by providing technical and functional expertise in client LIMS and its advanced capabilities. This position partners with local and global stakeholders within Measurement Sciences and Lab Operations to support the successful implementation, optimization, and adoption of Laboratory Execution Systems (LES) and Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELN). The role combines system knowledge, cross-functional collaboration, training, and testing support to enable efficient laboratory operations.
Candidates must have the analytics and IT exposure but the chemistry understanding.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with Lab Operations and cross-functional teams to develop and implement advanced functionality within the client LIMS platform.
Partner with local and global stakeholders to gather requirements and translate laboratory needs into effective client solutions.
Develop, maintain, and update training documentation and user support materials.
Create instructional training videos to support system onboarding and continuous learning.
Deliver training sessions for local and global users on client LIMS, ELN, and LES functionality.
Provide User Acceptance Testing (UAT) support, including test script development and execution.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with client LIMS.
Working knowledge of client ELN and LES.
Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Understanding of analytical chemistry laboratory workflows and their integration with LIMS systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar application lifecycle management tools.
Experience supporting or leading system training initiatives in a laboratory environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the Microsoft Power Apps suite.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI.
Experience with coding or scripting in support of laboratory systems.
