Job Title: Senior Associate, Integration/Test Engineering - SIL Manager

Job Description:

The SIL (System Integration Lab) Manager leads the daily technical and operational activities of a highperformance integration environment supporting advanced airborne ISR ground electronics systems across multiple programs. This role combines handson technical oversight, team leadership, and coordination with crossfunctional engineering and program stakeholders. The position has direct impact on system readiness, mission success, and the continuous improvement of SIL workflows and capabilities.

Essential Functions:

  • Interfaces with supervisor, customer, Project Engineering, and Program Management to determine System Integration Laboratory (SIL) support requirements.
  • Starts up all SIL equipment and loads all SIL software in an orderly fashion; shuts down in the same manner to reconfigure the SIL or close down for the day.
  • Monitors SIL schedules and ongoing test/integration activities and provides technical support, troubleshooting and repair or replacement of defective equipment.
  • Assists in planning / executing periodic SIL upgrades to new wiring and equipment configurations.
  • Direct a team in fabricating, assembling, and installing electrical/electronic parts, materials, hardware, wiring harnesses and components into complete assemblies.
  • Works with management to develop and adhere to schedules and budgets to accomplish assigned work.
  • Provides regular status updates for ongoing work efforts to keep management and our customer informed.
  • Employee will be required to obtain and maintain CompTIA Security+ certification.
  • Physical Requirements: Some lifting required.
  • Candidate must be willing and able to work a flexible job schedule to include off-shift work and occasional overtime.
  • Candidate must be willing to travel both CONUS and OCONUS up to 20% of the time.
  • Must have a current DOD Secret Security Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of airborne ISR ground support systems.
  • Demonstrated experience as a military or civilian technician working on an airborne ISR platform is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated understanding of hardware test strategies, fault isolation, automated tests, use of diagnostic test equipment, and generating and interpreting test requirements.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities sufficient to install, modify, fabricate, and repair RF/LAN/Control interconnect harnesses.
  • Demonstrated understanding of RF distribution systems including RF down-converting, up-converting, transceivers, non-blocking switching, and electrically phase matched distribution architectures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to perform RF propagation analysis through complex RF distribution and switching systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with the integration and troubleshooting of various aircraft radios, satellite communication systems and datalinks.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Military or Field Service experience maintaining ISR airborne platforms or ground systems is highly desirable.
  • Experience using analog or digital multi-meters, clamp-on ammeters, Spectrum Analyzers, Time Domain Reflectometer (TDR), Oscilloscopes, Fiber Optic test equipment and other equipment as needed.
  • Active counterintelligence polygraph.
  • Experience with RC135 platforms.
  • Current CompTIA Security+ certification is highly desired.
