Senior Associate, Project Manager Market Research Operations| Retail Bank

This is an exciting opportunity for a project management professional to join the Capital One Bank Insights team. As a Senior Associate Project Manager on the Bank Insights team, you will aid our market research operations to enable efficiency, consistency, accuracy, and delivery of meaningful insights to business partners across marketing & product strategy organization, Retail Bank, and partner LOBs across the enterprise. This role is designed for someone who likes to see a large volume of interesting and complex work move forward in a coordinated, efficient, and overall well-managed way.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead and manage recurring team level operations, including: core research program studies and enterprise governance standards (ensuring our compliance with & routine updating of processes, standards and templates, in accordance with legal /privacy & audit-ready standards)

  • Research program management, including: maintaining & updating our primary research project tracker and overall research calendar management

  • Budget management: ensuring the accurate tracking of our research project spend in partnership with the finance team support.

  • Vendor management, including: liaising with our primary and secondary research vendors, ensuring these relationships are well-managed in partnership with our ESM support

  • Coordinate recurring team level communications. This includes activities such as socializing team capabilities, research studies, creating newsletters, and sharing project pipeline updates

This Associate should bring:

  • Project or program management experience collaborating across broad groups of cross-functional stakeholders

  • Attention to detail and ability to keep projects or programs on track and problem solve in real-time

  • Demonstration of excellent written and verbal communication across varying functional groups and levels

  • Ability to spot opportunities for process improvements & implement change that impacts teams outside of current scope

  • Strong facilitation skills, able to collaborate, plan, execute and follow-up on meetings at the team level

  • Organized and able to self-manage details of multiple projects, deadlines and changing priorities simultaneously while maintaining strong and accurate work

  • Organizational and project management skills, with a solid understanding of market research project workflows

  • Experience managing complex market research programs

  • Self-motivated and entrepreneurial - comfortable with white space and interested in proactively proposing and pursuing new research projects to address partner questions

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience

  • At least 3 years of Program or Project Management experience

  • At least 3 years of experience utilizing Scrum, Kanban or SAFe methodologies

  • At least 2 years of Relationship management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or MS in Business, Marketing Research, Consumer Psychology, or Management Consulting

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

McLean, VA: $96,500 - $110,100 for Sr. Project Manager


New York, NY: $105,300 - $120,100 for Sr. Project Manager










Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
