Project Manager – Commercial Plumbing

This position is location specific. Please only apply if you can work in the office located in Stockton, CA.

Your Job Duties

You will work directly with the Northern California Division Director to oversee multiple Northern California commercial plumbing projects. You will visit the field on occasion, and most of your work will be performed in the office. You will manage 10–15 projects at a time on average, and up to 20 projects during peak season.

• Prepare project takeoffs using project plans (via BlueBeam software); assist with project estimating and creating change orders

• Create and update detailed project timelines; forecast budgets using BuildOps and MS Excel

• Coordinate directly with contractors and clients

• Coordinate project startup activities, submittals, material procurement, and subcontractor selection

• Identify the scope of work for each project and reconcile scope of work with the contract

• Build SOVs for all projects; maintain and prepare accurate billing applications

• Manage project cost, manpower, material, equipment, and sub requirements

• Make initial material orders and track long lead-time items, coordinating with subcontractors

• Track and monitor all equipment and company resources by project

• Review project schedules and inform field supervision of manpower needs

• Monitor ongoing progress on active projects, collaborating with the field team on status, budget-to-actual, and changes

• Maintain as-built plans at each phase of the project in conjunction with the field

• Perform project closeout to finalize budget, paperwork, and billing

• Prepare and review status reports on all projects

• Identify and create RFIs, submittals, and cost impacts

• Ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and contract documents

• Develop project budgets

Your base compensation will be $75,000 - $90,000 depending on experience. In addition, you'll receive:

Required Skills, Experience & Character

You Have:

• 1-3 years minimum prior experience as a Project Engineer, Project Coordinator, Assistant Project Manager, or Project Manager in commercial plumbing or another trade

• Desire to continue to learn, grow, and expand with a company with big goals to keep growing

• Proficiency with computer software programs including MS Excel and Office Suite

• Understanding of plumbing systems, plumbing industry standards, and ability to read plans

• Experience using BuildOps project management software

• Experience using BlueBeam software
