Location:

Candidates who live within 50 miles of Boston, MA; Portsmouth, NH; Seattle, WA; Indianapolis, IN; Columbus, OH; or Plano, TX will follow a hybrid schedule, coming into the office two days per week. Otherwise, this role is remote.

Summary:

Liberty Mutual's Enterprise Communications (EC) Operations team serves as the central shared service supporting the operational delivery of internal communications projects and tactics for communications professionals across the organization. The Associate Project Manager, Enterprise Communications, Operations Enablement is a critical member of a team responsible for the project management and delivery of processes and standard work, governance and quality control, knowledge management, work intake, and continuous improvement. They lead and manage projects that help ensure the Operations team operates effectively and delivers high-quality communications at scale for business partners across the enterprise.

In addition to project management, they will manage incoming requests, route work, maintain operating rhythms and ensure teams have visibility into and are collectively a part of determining priorities and making decisions. They own and continuously improve standard work, knowledge management, best practices, distribution list governance, quality control, repeatable processes, and content audits. The role also drives continuous improvement across processes, tools, templates and ways of working.

The role requires a forward-looking and experimental mindset about ways to leverage GenAI tools to work efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects from inception through execution by aligning stakeholders around goals, building and managing project plans, tracking timelines, milestones, risks, and action items, escalating issues as needed, and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.
  • Coordinate with internal partners and stakeholders to keep work moving; prepare status updates, meeting notes, and project documentation and communicate progress consistently.
  • Ensure internal communications processes are current, consistent, accessible, and easy to use.
  • Manage and route incoming requests for deliverables, clarifying needs, assessing timing and sequencing, prioritizing, identifying risks, directing work to the appropriate teams, and maintaining project schedules.
  • Own and continuously improve standard work, knowledge management resources, best practices, templates, process guides, and other documentation.
  • Manage enterprise distribution list governance and maintenance, including list strategy, ongoing alignment, education, validation, updates, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Oversee quality control for communications deliverables ensuring accuracy, clarity, brand alignment, formatting, and process adherence.
  • Identify recurring quality or process issues and recommend, communicate and implement improvements.
  • Source, prioritize, and implement ideas to enhance processes, tools, templates, and ways of working.
  • Reduce friction and improve cross-team efficiency by providing ongoing updates and driving continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Proven project management experience with strong knowledge of project management practices and tools.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and experience with GenAI, digital tools, automation, or other innovations that improve operational efficiency, communications quality, and impact.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage, socialize, and communicate work, recommendations, and progress updates to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven track record of successful delivery and execution of short and long-term projects.
  • Experience building alignment and influencing decisions through clear, concise communication and sound business judgment.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, critical thinking, presentation, influence, and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Open-minded, collaborative, and able to work effectively across teams and stakeholder groups.
  • Experience working independently and as part of a team

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience that includes project management or project coordination experience and the planning, coordination, and delivery of operationally focused projects from start to finish.
