The Assistant Professor position is responsible for teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses, conducting scholarly research, and contributing service to the department, college, and university. The role focuses on instructional excellence, research productivity, student mentorship, and progress toward tenure.

Please Note: The salary is determined in accordance with the University's compensation structure and will be commensurate with the candidates' education and experience, within the assigned salary range for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching graduate and undergraduate computer science courses.

  • Conducting scholarly research.

  • Providing service, such as serving on committees, advising students, etc.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field.

  • One (1) year teaching experience at a higher education level.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Expertise in Cyber security or Data Science area.

  • Teaching experience at the college or university level.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to use virtual technology and related software to support online teaching.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in cybersecurity and data science.

  • US higher-education teaching experience.
