Job description

Eaton's AER MSD Mission System Division division is currently seeking a Planner. This role is based in Davenport, IA. The expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $105000 a year.

What you'll do: Eaton Mission Systems is seeking a Planner for our Davenport, Iowa Business Unit (BU).

Key Responsibilities Executes planning activities in line with defined lean inventory, production, and procurement strategies for materials, supporting capacity planning and scheduling for production and/or purchased materials. Plans/schedules internal work orders in accordance with the needs of the build schedule, revenue plan, and customer commitments. Monitors performance of production schedule for internal manufacturing operations for a series of production work centers to achieve OTTB goals and revenue plans.

Optimizes job schedule, with minimal inventory to ensure delivery to our customers on time. Review exception messages for work orders in MRP and action as appropriate, seeking Operations input as needed. Runs dispatch report for work cells to communicate required completions to achieve build schedule and to set priority.

Seeks continuous feedback from Operations to maintain accurate discrete job dates in support of the dispatch. Run/maintain line of balance reports on product groups as assigned. Escalates build plan risks through tiered meetings and using SIOP planning tool to communicate the tall pole items and recovery dates for shipment.

Provides direction to purchasing on quantity & timing requirements of materials on parts that are being expedited due to supplier late, quality issues, etc. Enter requisitions for consumable materials to be ordered when needed. Coordinates with material handlers and purchasing on any outside processing associated with their parts.

Work with design and manufacturing engineering to review, approve, and implement drawing changes, with a focus on protecting cost and quality, and minimizing inventory. Has ability to read and understand drawings and bills of material, and what is subsequently required to make the parts. Perform inventory discrepancy and discrete job variance investigations and help resolve related issues.

Understands all planning order modifiers associated with manufactured parts, including safety stock, shrink rates, maximum order qty., etc. and flow up opportunities for parameter updates to ensure optimal planning, build process flow, and inventory levels. Support cross functional continuous improvement projects

Support root-cause analysis on excess/obsolete inventory and help drive corrective actions and disposition strategy. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications Associate's degree and 2+ years of supply chain experience OR HS Diploma/GED and 4+ years of supply chain experience Must be authorized to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now or in the future. This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
