Pratt & Whitney's Program Planning & Scheduling (PP&S) organization is searching for a Production Program Planner. The PP&S organization works with key program stakeholders to promote the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) as a healthy, integrated management tool. The Master Schedule is the program's most powerful management tool and when properly maintained, a healthy schedule can be used to influence program decisions and actions.
The Military Production Program Planner works with program office stakeholders and partners to ensure quality inputs and baseline integrity in alignment with government and company standards. The ideal candidate is a motivated team player who understands how to effectively and independently drive timely and accurate support of the IMS. We are seeking a critical thinker, with expertise in scheduling best practices and Integrated Program Management Data and Analysis Report (IPMDAR) compliance, able to make recommendations for alternative ways to view program information enabling program management decisions.
*This is based ON-SITE in East Hartford, CT *
What You Will Do:
  • Interpret contract requirements and objectives to create a thorough Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) with key attributes adhering to DCMA and P&W internal quality checks. Lead IMS baselines and act independently as the program IMS lead in program reviews and meetings.
  • Provide consulting support to technical work scope owners by analyzing program plans, assisting technical experts in developing schedule baseline changes, and integrating proposed changes.
  • Analyze program critical path assessments and facilitate root cause assessments to baseline execution variances with CAMs which result in sound analysis and mitigation. Lead the development and delivery of Schedule Risk Assessments (SRAs) and Critical Path Analysis for the Integrated Program Management Team (IPMT) and/or external customers.
  • Collaborate with Earned Value Analysts, CAMs, and Component Integrated Product Team (CIPTs) to ensure alignment between SAP and IMS reporting systems, assess and report variances and possible mitigation plans from CAMs maintaining the IMS as a tool to manage technical execution.
  • Create and update scheduling procedures and standard work. Continuously expand and update technical knowledge to enhance individual and team innovation and productivity as well as communicating improvements and efficiencies in scheduling. Communicate improvements and efficiencies in scheduling processes back to the PP&S organization.
  • Knowledge in how an MRP system works and understanding impacts to a production schedule.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years prior relevant experience, OR, advanced degree with 3+ years of prior relevant experience required.
  • Candidates with associate's degree and 7+ years' relevant experience, or, 9+ years' relevant experience in lieu of 4yr degree may be considered. Relevant experience to include:
  • Time as a program Scheduler or Planner, time in program and/or project management, experience in supporting government proposals, time in Earned Value Management and proficient in MS Office Programs (MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word).
  • US Citizenship due to government contracts.

Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Ability to interpret contract requirements for translation into IMS.
  • Proficiency in analysis of IMS quality assessments such as the DCMA 14-point analysis and DCMA DECM.
  • Experience analyzing schedules for quality in their construction and ability to produce valid critical paths, applying root cause analysis to variance recovery.
  • Working as part of a program management team, familiar with logic driven schedules using software such as Primavera, MS Project or Open Plan.
  • Experience using a Monte Carlo schedule risk simulator.
  • Strong creative problem-solving, collaboration, critical thinking and time management skills.
  • Organized and self-motivated with excellent verbal/written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively handle multiple shifting priorities while meeting deadlines.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
