IEG Plastics is a proud supplier of plastic parts and assemblies to the automotive and consumer goods industries. IEG utilizes state of the art facilities and equipment to provide the highest quality precision plastic parts and assemblies to our customers.

Department: Production

Supervisor: Production Manager

Hours per Week: 40

1st shift 8-hour shift, Monday Friday (6:00 am 2:30 pm), 30-minute unpaid lunch

2nd shift 10-hour shift, Monday Thursday, (2:00 pm -12:00 am), 30-minute paid lunch

3rd shift - 9-hour shift, Monday - Thursday, (11:00 pm - 8:00 am), 30-minute paid lunch. You will work 9 hours and get paid for 10 if attendance requirements at met (no misses, late arrivals and/or early quits during each week)

Position Title: Plastic Injection Molding Production Associate

Pay Rate:Based on Experience

Position Description and Duties:

  • Operate automatic plastic injection machine as outlined in work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Inspect parts to validate that they meet Quality Assurance specifications provided
  • Answer press alarms
  • Repack product per customer specifications
  • Use IQMS software to perform system transactions related to production activities
  • Accurately complete required production logs and documentation
  • Read, interpret and analyze work orders
  • Pick product and prepare outbound shipments accurately and quickly using provided pick ticket
  • Maintain a clean working environment
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and use of PPE to maintain a safe and productive work environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Plastics Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills (English language), ability to read and understand work instructions and standard operating procedures, ability to count accurately and perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Solid work history, excellent attendance record required
  • Must be able to take direction and work as part of a team
  • Display sound judgement when troubleshooting machinery and production equipment
  • Prior experience with bar code scanning and associated hardware (handheld scanner) is preferred
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience with IQMS or other ERP software preferred
  • Experience in an ISO certified environment is preferred
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis, stand for a minimum of 8+ hours, and have full motor movement
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and 90-day drug screen
