Built on a legacy of quality and innovation, we are seeking an Associate Product Managerto join our team and support our continued growth.
The Associate Product Manager will play a key role in the responsibilities of profitable growth and operational execution of multiple product lines within soft goods across both the Igloo and Dometic brands. The APM will assist with the execution of business plans, sales and margin accountability, calendar adherence, and cross functional team responsibilities.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Business Growth Planning & Analysis:
  • Familiarize oneself with complete product line, its components and their potential impact in the marketplace.
  • Become an expert in all manufacturing processes, both domestic and import.
  • Support 3-year category growth strategies and annual operating plan development including participation in volume, tactical, and financial planning.
  • Establish a full understanding of the cooler industry across all segmented channels.

Product Planning:
  • Owns item setup process including managing item setup tracker and item setup forms for import products.
  • Work directly with sales to plan and execute retailer specific special make up projects.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to bring new products to market.
  • Work collaboratively with Product Design & Development team to assist in new products, line extensions, and SKU rationalization opportunities.
  • Regularly communicates status of new product and initiatives across entire organization.

Team Responsibilities:
  • Support cross-functional team members in the development and execution of new products and line extensions.
  • Manage day-to-day business needs for existing / rollover products.
  • Manage sample inventory and coordinate with cross-functional teams on distribution

Marketing Responsibilities:
  • Support product research strategy, planning, resourcing, execution and analysis through use of external resources.
  • Build sales tools and visual line plans
  • Collaborate with the graphics team to provide input on packaging structure and design strategy, branding, packaging change process and planning, claims and product descriptions/features.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications
A suitable background would be a solid experience within the following qualifications and experiences:
  • Bachelor's Degree in consumer products or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 1 - 3 years of experience or one (1) year of Igloo Product Management experience.
  • Must be detail oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates high business acumen, strong retail math skills. Possess experience with, and understanding of costing, pricing, profit and P&L management including management of a significant consumer brand with P&L responsibility.
  • Cross-functional understanding of finance, operations, product development, marketing communications, and vendor partners.
  • Well-developed team skills including the ability to inspire others, get results from coworkers, manage change, develop organizational goals and strive for success.
  • Business analysis and planning experience including sound judgment and decision-making.
  • Effective written communication, presentation skills, and influencing skills both internally and externally.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a collaborative results-oriented team environment.
  • Adaptable, resilient, flexible, fast-paced/sense of urgency, and a high level of multitasking ability.
  • Able to handle pressure of deadlines, multiple projects and financial performance expectations.
  • Fast-paced growing company experience and/or demonstrated effectiveness in a small company/location where role includes both strategic and hands-on responsibilities.
  • Personal and professional values aligned with company values and culture, high integrity.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in coolers, outdoor, camping, softgoods, CPG industries is preferred.

  • Ability to travel domestically, up to 10%

For roles based in California:
The starting base pay for this role is between $75,000 and $85,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, location, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
