Job description

Description:

StenTech is seeking a reliable and motivated Mechanical Designer to join our team in Hillsboro, OR. This position is ideal for someone looking to begin or grow a career in mechanical design. The successful candidate will assist with creating and maintaining accurate 2D CAD drawings while supporting engineering and manufacturing projects in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, revise, and maintain accurate 2D CAD drawings.
  • Interpret design requirements and translate them into technical drawings.
  • Ensure drawings and documentation are complete, accurate, and organized.
  • Maintain design files and documentation according to company standards and revision control procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and production teams to support project timelines and objectives.
  • Identify and communicate design issues or discrepancies.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts within the design process.
  • Assist with engineering change requests and design revisions as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Work Schedule:


Day Shift (7:00 AM–4:00 PM; start time may be adjusted ±1 hour based on business needs)

Requirements:
  • Experience using 2D CAD software, such as AutoCAD or similar applications, acquired through work experience, education, vocational training, or internships.

  • Strong spatial recognition and visualization skills.
