About The Role Peraton is seeking an experienced systems Procurement Specialist to join our national intelligence program that delivers engineering, application development, deployment, operations, upgrades and sustainment of products and services to achieve our client's global missions. Responsibilities: * Identify the procurement needs of the program. * Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and compare offers. * Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure advantageous terms. * Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment. * Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness. * Develop procurement strategies and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers. * Ensure that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications. * Manage supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations. * Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation. * Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power. * Resolve supplier or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers. * Review and update procurement policies and procedures. * Implement risk management for supply contracts and agreements. **Position is Contingent on Contract Award** Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
* Active Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with ability to pass a Poly clearance. * Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree; Min of 7 years with an Associates, Minimum of 3 years with master's degree; 0 years with a PhD; minimum 9 years with no degree. * Proven work experience as a procurement specialist or manager. * Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in "reading" the market. * Talent in negotiation and networking. * Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software. * Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers. * Experience in collecting and analyzing data. * Strong leadership capabilities. * Ability to work independently and take initiative to do what is needed to achieve learning goals. * Demonstrate the ability to communicate with individuals at many different levels from within and from outside of the organization. Desired Qualifications:
* Active TS/SCI with Poly clearance. * BS or higher in supply chain management, logistics or business administration. Security Clearance: This Position requires an Active TS/SCI and the ability to obtain a Poly, US Citizenship is required to hold this clearance. Details Target Salary Range: $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
