Specific Job Description:

RMSL is a growth company with an outstanding job opportunity for a senior Process Engineer. This position will report to the Advanced Chemistry & Chemical Processing Group Manager and Director of Engineering. The Process Engineer will be an integral part of a small cross functional team working on exciting development projects with cutting-edge technology. In this role, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing manufacturing and processing plants for hazardous materials. This role will be a part of an integrated team focused on the development of novel energetic systems, energetic material scale-up processes, development of ammunition and armaments, testing and analysis of energetic materials.

Duties Include:

  • Serve as project lead on production plant design and commissioning
  • Travel to project site (Texas) as necessary
  • Development of engineering diagrams (P&IDs)
  • Development of process instrumentation and control in coordination with automation engineers
  • Development of process equipment specifications and data sheets
  • Oversight and review of process deliverables from junior engineers
  • Oversite of pilot plant commissioning and test production runs
  • Assistance in ensuring engineering deliverables are completed on schedule
  • Ability to handle materials with strict adherence to safety process requirements
  • Assistance with company compliance in restricted information security regulations
  • Project engineering tasks such as report writing and technical presentations

Required Skills:

  • Experience in process engineering, plant design, and batch processing
  • Experience with hazardous material processing or manufacturing such energetic materials, pharmaceuticals, petroleum, or similar
  • Problem solver that can work in a team environment on fast-paced projects
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Physical requirements:
    • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.; must have the ability to see near and far and work with a computer monitor
