Manufacturing Planner

Your Impact
As a Manufacturing Scheduler, you will coordinate and maintain production schedules while working closely with Strategic Project Managers (SPMs), Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Inventory teams.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain master production schedules based on demand forecasts, capacity, and material availability.
  • Plan and schedule material requirements to support production needs and customer delivery commitments.
  • Coordinate and expedite material flow between suppliers, warehouses, and production areas.
  • Monitor and adjust schedules to address changes in demand, capacity constraints, or material shortages.
  • Optimize inventory levels to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory.
  • Analyze MRP/ERP data to identify and resolve planning discrepancies.

  • Collaborate with Procurement, Production, and Engineering teams to ensure alignment on priorities and timelines.
  • Drive process improvements in planning and scheduling to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.
  • Prepare and present planning metrics and reports to leadership.
  • Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives through efficient planning and resource utilization.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to resolve scheduling conflicts and improve workflow.
  • Maintain accurate planning data in ERP systems (Epicor preferred).

Minimum Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing scheduling, production planning, or operations coordination preferred
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment required
  • ERP/MRP system experience preferred (Epicor experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations
  • Experience in electrical equipment manufacturing, industrial, manufacturing, or construction environments preferred
  • Familiarity with BOM structures, production workflows, and material planning
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Employees must be able to talk, hear, and frequently sit, with occasional standing, walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Regular lifting up to 25 lbs and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs is required. Vision requirements include close and color vision and focus adjustment. Work may involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, chemicals, electrical hazards, and explosives. Noise levels can be very loud, requiring ear protection.
