Job description

Note: The compensation range noted above represents the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range.
Holyoke Medical Center is looking for the right person to be responsible for Quality management of all perioperative records regarding accuracy in surgical services charges. This person will be responsible for Quality management for perioperative anesthesia billing in the surgical
services department. To properly review preauthorization for procedures, diagnoses and treatments for surgical services and the anesthesia department. To provide documentation to billing department of the hospital for surgical services medical denial appeals. To coordinate new procedure CPT Codes with hospital billing department. To serve as the liaison with surgeon and specialty offices for surgical procedure charting issues
and concerns. To perform Perioperative chart review for all areas to ensure the department is meeting DNV requirements and CMS Charting and documentation: Pre-Op, OR, PACU, MDS, ECT, IR, Cardioversions.
Qualifications/ Job Requisites
• High School Diploma or equivalent. Associates degree or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Demonstrate in depth knowledge and experiencing with the CPT codes for procedures performed in the OR.
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology and pathophysiology.
• Data entry skills.
• Prior experience working in Surgical Services or as a Surgical Technician is preferred.
