Description:
Trinity Health of New England is looking for an experienced Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist to join our mission-driven team in our Inpatient rehabilitation department at Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital.
The SLP is a member of a comprehensive care team responsible for evaluating and treating patients with mild-moderate cognitive deficit and neurological disorders, including patients with diagnoses of stroke, traumatic brain injury, concussion, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, brain tumors. Disorders include dysarthria, apraxia, dysphagia, aphasia, cognitive-communication deficits, voice, and fluency disorders.
Responsibilities:
  • Performs comprehensive evaluations.
  • Establishes functional goals based upon evaluation results targeting deficit areas, to help patients achieve a maximum level of functional independence.
  • Provides professional interaction with patients, family members, interdisciplinary team members, and other staff members and colleagues.,
  • completes all documentation in accordance with professional, organizational, and regulatory compliance standards.

Requirements:
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited program with a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • State of Connecticut Speech-Language Pathology Licensure
