The John & Mable Ringling Museum of Art is located in Sarasota, Florida, and is a department of Florida State University .
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities for this role include:
- Provide excellent, enthusiastic customer service to visitors.
- Proactively seek out and assist visitors in greeting and product selections.
- Learning the store's products and the story behind the product.
- Answering general visitor inquiries in person or via the phone.
- Processing sales at the register.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Processing shipping orders and returns.
- Helping maintain the store's appearance, including dusting, straightening, restocking, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, climb a small step ladder, stock products on high and low shelves, and often lift up to 25 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous retail experience
- Ability to learn a computer based point-of-sale system

Anticipated Salary Range
$15.45 (24 hours a week)
