Job Summary
This position combines responsibilities in Residence Life/ Campus Center Operations and Misselwood Events. During the academic year, Residence Life Operations Coordinator (RLOC) reports to the Associate Director and manages off-campus leased housing and residential operations and also supports campus programming. During the summer months, the RLOC reports to the Executive Director, Misselwood Events and partners with the Operations staff to manage external overnight programs. This includes training and supervising student staff and coordinating event logistics. This is a full-time, 12-month, live-in position.

  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and developmentally supportive residential community by managing occupancy processes (check-ins/outs, room changes, roommate agreements, and health and safety inspections).
  • Cultivate collaborative partnerships with leasing offices and campus stakeholders to enhance the student experience in college-leased housing.
  • Contribute to departmental operations, including housing selection and break closings, ensuring effective and student-centered service delivery.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate student staff (Student Engagement Ambassadors and Late Night LoCa), promoting leadership development, accountability, and inclusive practices.
  • Design, implement, and assess late-night and campus programming (~24 programs/semester), applying student development theory and assessment practices to enhance engagement and learning outcomes.
  • Oversee weekly campus traditions (e.g., Tuesday Night Trivia), fostering community building and student involvement through collaborative partnerships.
  • Advise and support Involvement Assistants in program planning, promotion, and execution, encouraging student leadership and co-curricular learning.
  • Collaborate with Campus Center staff to support event operations, scheduling, and assessment, contributing to a welcoming and inclusive campus environment.
  • Supervise summer student staff and coordinate conference/overnight programs, emphasizing customer service, operational excellence, and student staff development.
  • Serve as a liaison between student staff and Event Operations leadership to ensure effective communication and seamless program implementation.
  • Oversee summer residential operations (e.g., linens, facility readiness, prepping access cards, meal cards, physical keys, and housing sheets), ensuring quality service and operational efficiency.

20%: Student Support, Conduct, & On-Call
  • Participate in the professional on-call rotation, responding to student crises and emergencies using sound judgment, ethical decision-making, and institutional protocols.
  • Serve as a student conduct hearing officer, facilitating educational and restorative approaches to accountability in alignment with community standards.
  • Support student well-being and success by addressing concerns with empathy, cultural competence, and appropriate referrals.
  • Provide on-call support for summer residential communities as needed.

20%: Departmental Initiatives, Assessment, & Continuous Improvement
  • Advance the residential curriculum and student engagement efforts through intentional programming and collaborative initiatives.
  • Utilize assessment strategies to evaluate program effectiveness and inform continuous improvement.
  • Research and implement best practices in student engagement, residential education, and summer/overnight programming.
  • Develop and refine operational processes related to summer housing, group coordination, and resource management.
  • Participate in departmental planning, training, and summer resource meetings to support strategic goals and organizational effectiveness.

Community Engagement
  • Be an active participant in the life of the College by attending and supporting key events like Commencement, Homecoming, and other all-hands-on-deck gatherings. Show a spirit of collaboration and community involvement, including volunteering when possible.

In compliance with Massachusetts pay transparency law, the annual base salary range for this position is $45,000- 47,000 and housing is included. Endicott College considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, relevant work experience, education, specialized skills, internal equity, and external market data when extending an offer. The final salary is determined by the Human Resources Office based on these factors. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or other compensation.
