Job description

FINANCE AND OPERATIONS COORDINATOR, Sloan Office of External Relations, serves as the central administrative and financial resource for the Office of External Relations (OER), ensuring efficient and effective daily operations. Reporting to the Senior Associate Director, this role oversees budgeting and financial processes, including reconciliation and transaction processing, and provides financial reporting to leadership. Assisting with office operations, the coordinator handles procurement, technology needs and facilities coordination. The role manages a rotating coverage schedule for shared office functions (e.g., phone lines, mail), ensuring consistency and responsiveness. The coordinator plays key roles in onboarding/offboarding, tracking changes, and disseminating policy updates. They also coordinate cross-training, assess resource constraints, and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. Regular collaboration with departments such as Finance, Procurement, HR, and IT is essential, as is assisting with admin team meetings and ensuring alignment on policies and procedures. The coordinator supports departmental meetings, retreats, and special events, managing logistics and other projects as needed.
