Job description

RISE Housing and Support Services is looking for a technology savvy individual to join our team as a Network Support Specialist. A successful candidate will be experienced in supporting the technology needs of an organization, troubleshooting support requests, and making recommendations on upgrades and structures.

RISE offers a Network Support Specialist

  • A starting rate of $24 to $29 based on knowledge and experience

Overview of Job Responsibilities:

  • Support agency IT needs under the oversight of the Network Administrator
  • Respond to agency IT support requests
  • Identify risks and troubleshoot agency hardware, software, and network needs
  • Support agency IT security efforts
  • Participate in the development of IT procedures
  • Assist in intern oversight and mentorship
  • Identify and develop IT efficiencies and tools
  • Positively communicate internally and externally

To qualify you must have:

  • An Associate Degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field
  • 2+ years of relevant job experience responding to IT support needs
  • 1+ years of experience working with IT networks
  • Other combinations of education and experience will be considered
  • Strong interpersonal boundaries

  • Clearance with all relevant background checks as per RISE policies and governing regulations
  • A valid NY State Driver's License, a driving record acceptable to the RISE automotive program, and reliable transportation
