Job description

Position Summary

This is an ONSITE position located in Huntsville, AL. Active TS/SCI Clearance REQUIRED.

NCC is looking for a dynamic Media Operations Technical Lead for an anticipated contract to provide technical integrity of operations, provide expert guidance on hardware, software, emerging computer (Windows and Mac O/S), camera and multimedia technologies ensuring technical environment meets the highest standards of cost, schedule and performance within a secure Zero Trust environment. Report functional readiness and operational status to Program and Federal leadership.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on technical operation and oversight for VIPC multimedia and production services, ensuring consistent quality, timely delivery, and alignment with Agency requirements.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for Apple computer and server systems, including life cycle management, cybersecurity compliance, and software management.
  • Provide direct supervision, task direction, and mentorship to a diverse creative and technical workforce supporting graphic design, video production, photography, animation, A/V support, and documentary flight test activities.
  • Plan and implement digital and print media technology upgrades, establish production standards, and introduce process improvements that enhance efficiency and technical capability.
  • Manage configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of multimedia systems including Adobe servers, Apple codecs, High speed print devices, DSLR and 4K cameras, lighting/audio equipment, editing workstations, and digital asset storage systems (SAN/NAS).
  • Coordinate with Agency IT personnel to ensure workstations, production networks, and applications comply with DoD security, accreditation, and configuration policies.
  • Oversee equipment lifecycle planning, inventory control, and technical documentation for all VIPC sites.
  • Provide technical oversight for mission documentation assignments, including planning and supporting non-analytical flight test photography and videography.
  • Serve as a senior technical point of contact for customers, clarifying requirements, advising on production approaches, and communicating schedule or resource impacts.
  • Serve as the escalation point for a/v failures, broadcast interruptions, and other network disruptions
  • Prepare reports, updates, and documentation required by Agency leadership and the Program Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance at the time of application.
  • Expertise in maintaining and operating the majority of:
    • Visual Information Products enabling the creation of original artwork, imaginative concepts, and composite imagery.
    • High speed digital printing and production hardware
    • Animation and digital modeling systems
    • Broadcast video design and production systems
    • Flight test video capture technologies
    • Adobe Production Suite, Apple ProRes codecs, and Black Magic Design peripherals
    • Digital Asset Management (Quantum CatDV) / SAN (StorNext) servers and hardware
  • BS/BA Degree with 15 years of experience leading technology driven Government or Corporate contracts to include supporting stakeholder requirements OR MS/MA/PhD Degree with 10 years of experience OR Associates Degree with 20 years of experience
  • Expert level knowledge of DSLR and 4K video camera technology
  • IT support and technologies (computer configuration, network infrastructure, and SAN/NAS configuration)
  • Proven ability to lead and exercise discretion and independent judgment
  • Strong strategic thinking capabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Superior emotional intelligence, interpersonal, and time management skills
  • Ability and willingness to collaborate with all levels of the organization
