Job description

We are looking for an IT Business Analyst to partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to turn operational needs into practical technology solutions. This Long-term Contract position offers the opportunity to support key initiatives, improve system-driven processes, and help define enhancements that strengthen performance and usability. Based in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, this role requires strong analytical thinking, clear documentation, and the ability to guide collaboration across project teams.
Responsibilities:
• Partner with business units and IT teams to evaluate needs, identify gaps, and recommend effective system or process solutions.
• Gather, analyze, and organize business requirements into clear functional documentation, including current-state and future-state workflows.
• Lead discussions with stakeholders to define end-to-end requirements, uncover improvement opportunities, and support process redesign where appropriate.
• Contribute within an Agile delivery model by assisting with sprint planning, writing user stories, and defining acceptance criteria.
• Work closely with developers and quality assurance teams to clarify requirements, support design decisions, and validate that solutions align with business goals.
• Prepare project documentation such as meeting summaries, decision logs, risk tracking, and reporting materials to support delivery transparency.
• Assist with software enhancements and implementation efforts by providing analysis, business case support, and impact assessments.
• Coordinate assigned project activities, monitor deadlines, and help ensure deliverables are completed on schedule.
• Provide testing support through unit validation, defect review, and deployment readiness activities while serving as a key liaison between technical and business groups.• Proven experience in business analysis within IT-driven projects or application-focused environments.
• Strong ability to create business requirements, functional specifications, process documentation, and reporting artifacts.
• Hands-on experience working in Agile and SDLC environments, including user stories, sprint planning, and testing support.
• Knowledge of process improvement, end-to-end requirement gathering, and translating business objectives into technical solutions.
• Familiarity with quality assurance practices, security-related requirements, and deployment support activities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across business, development, QA, and project management teams.
