Job-Type: Full-Time

Full-Time employees receive our comprehensive compensation package which includes 100% employer paid Medical insurance with by-up options for your dependents. Employee and Dependent Dental and Vision plans, Employee Assistance Program, ESOP and 401k plans. 8 Paid Holidays, Paid Sick and Paid Vacation time earned on an accrued basis. The pay range for this position is $38.01-54.40 paid hourly, offers will be based on the successful candidate's experience.  

Role and Responsibilities

The Senior Special Inspector will provide comprehensive oversight of construction projects, ensuring adherence to contract and subcontract terms, performance standards, quality requirements, and engineering specifications. Reporting to the Project Manager or Construction Manager, the Senior Construction Supervisor will monitor and document project progress, playing a critical role in the successful execution of construction projects.

  • Oversee and monitor construction projects to ensure compliance with contract and subcontract terms.
  • Document and report on the progress of construction projects.
  • Address any issues or discrepancies that arise during construction.
  • Collaborate with project managers, construction managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Ability to understand and read plans and specifications that are applicable to the inspection duties and requirements. Ensure that all performance and quality requirements are met according to engineering specifications.
  • Knowledge of the California Building Code (CBC), International Building Code (IBC), ASTM Standards, ACI Standards and AWS Standards
  • Ability to clearly write daily field reports and non-conformance reports
  • Exercise high levels of ethics

Education and Experience 

  • 10-15+ years of experience in construction supervision.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, subcontracts, and engineering specifications.
  • Proven track record of ensuring project performance and quality standards.
  • Excellent documentation and reporting skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Appropriate I.C.C., A.C.I., A.W.S. and/or Nuclear Gauge certifications
  • Five years of construction related experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid California Driver's License, maintain a clean driving record

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working on large-scale construction projects.
  • Proficiency with construction management software.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal communication skills
