Job description

ABOUT THIS POSITION

Advisory Services Consultant is responsible for providing consulting services for the client base - both within and outside of implementation services projects. This individual will work with senior leaders internally to deploy programs that add value for Waystar's clients and create a new source of revenue for the company, collaborating with the sales, marketing, and growth enablement departments to commercialize the service offerings and support the sales process. This position will leverage extensive healthcare revenue cycle IT and operational experience to help scope projects and oversee delivery of advisory services to Waystar clients.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Work closely with the Manager Advisory Services to set the strategic direction for the Advisory Services business unit.

  • Create and implement a scalable and value-add set of Advisory Service programs that will improve the financial health of clients inWaystar'sHealth System & Hospital target market

  • Collaborate cross-functionally withWaystarSupport, Solution Adoption, Sales, and Growth Enablement teams to offer an integrated set of solutions/services and direct existing and prospective clients to the appropriate Advisory Service programs

  • Provide client-facing leadership for the project teams and act as a subject matter expert, as needed

  • Manage and lead client engagements with wide-ranging scope and complexity; accountable for consistent delivery of high quality results

  • Help grow the Advisory Services team capacity and capabilities

  • Leverage client engagement experiences to develop best practices for integration and workflow; transition knowledge to the rest of the Solution Adoption team

  • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks

  • Travel independently or as a team for on-site sales and project scoping meetings with prospective clients

  • Consistently identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and documentation

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • Bachelor's orMaster'sdegree

  • 5+ years of project management and/or consulting experience with large health systems and hospitals

  • Extensive experience in all aspects of healthcare revenue cycle (financial clearance, revenue integrity, coding, billing, denial management, insurance follow-up, patient engagement, outsourcing)

  • Skilled at building and managing relationships with all levels of management (both internally and client-focused)

  • Executive presence to interact with Director, VP, and C-Level clients

  • Hands-on experience with HIS systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.)

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Outstanding decision-making, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities

  • Willingness to travel up to 75%
