Job Title: Senior Accountant

We are committed to excellence, integrity, and personalized service, and we are looking for a talented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. 

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled professional who will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead and mentor junior team members. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Accounting & Tax Services 

  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting practices. 

  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes for multiple clients. 

  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax filings, including corporate, partnership, individual, estate, and sales tax returns. 

  • Perform account reconciliations and analyze general ledger activity. 

  • Assist clients with bookkeeping, financial reporting, and accounting advisory matters. 

  • Research accounting and tax matters and recommend practical solutions. 

Advisory, Compliance & Forensic Services 

  • Support specialized advisory and compliance engagements. 

  • Assist with forensic accounting projects, investigations, and other consulting engagements, as applicable. 

  • Conduct financial analyses and provide insights to support client decision-making. 

  • Analyze financial records and prepare supporting schedules, summaries, and reports. 

  • Collaborate with clients, attorneys, and internal teams on complex financial matters. 

  • Contribute to process improvements and the development of internal best practices. 

Leadership & Client Service 

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients and maintain strong professional relationships. 

  • Review the work of junior staff and provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship. 

  • Assist with engagement planning, workflow management, and project coordination. 

  • Stay current on accounting, tax, and industry developments relevant to the firm's service offerings. 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting. 

  • CPA certification preferred or active pursuit of licensure. 

  • Minimum of 5 years of Accounting and Tax experience, including at least 1 year in a senior role. 

  • Understanding of GAAP and tax regulations. 

  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. 

  • Experience supporting advisory, compliance, consulting, or forensic engagements is a plus. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy. 

  • Experience working with Artificial Intelligence Chat like Chat GPT
