Marketing Associate

IXL Learning, creator of one of the most widely used personalized learning platforms in the world, is seeking a full-time Marketing Associate to join our fun and growing team. In this role, you'll play an essential part in the marketing of our flagship product, IXL. You'll write content that engages our key audiences - educators, parents, and students - and gets them excited about our latest features. You'll work on impactful product launches, craft compelling messaging, and execute marketing campaigns that make a meaningful impact on education.

We're looking for a strong writer and communicator who is creative, organized, and proactive. This role is ideal for someone who wants to leverage their writing skills, strengthen their strategic thinking, and learn from an experienced marketing team that is invested in supporting growth and development.

This position requires you to be in our San Mateo, CA, headquarters office.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Write and develop marketing content, including but not limited to: messaging documents, emails, web copy, print collateral, blog posts, case studies, and more
  • Develop and drive campaigns to increase awareness and use of the product's features
  • Collaborate across the marketing team to devise creative ways to reach potential customers and to deepen our engagement with existing users
  • Work with colleagues from various teams, including product managers and graphic designers, to coordinate and implement projects from start to finish

What We're Looking For

  • BA/BS degree and 2-4 years of solid marketing experience in a professional environment
  • Written communication: You are an exceptional writer and know how to make every word count. You can switch easily from writing messaging about a new product feature, to crafting an impactful marketing email, to developing a lighthearted blog post
  • Interpersonal skills: You're a team player, have excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with people at all levels
  • You get things done: You're a self starter, detail-oriented, organized, resourceful, can manage projects from start to finish and juggle multiple deadlines
  • You have knowledge of, or an interest in, education/edtech and can learn about the industry quickly
  • Experience with Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides
