Job description

The Student Services Department aids Keiser students in reaching their career goals by preparing students for their transition into the professional world. The Director of Student Services creates and fosters a sense of importance for the development of career skills necessary for students to achieve success in both the job search process and in their careers. To meet this end, the Director of Student Services must work to build and maintain relationships with employers and community leaders to enhance the opportunities for Keiser graduates.

Reporting to the Campus President, the Director of Student Services is responsible for the delivery of career development programs and services designed to facilitate the successful placement of students into career positions. This is accomplished through:

  • Creating and scheduling professional development workshops
  • Coordinating and facilitating events, meetings, and student activities
  • Conducting surveys of students, graduates, and employers
  • Partner with Local Employers
  • Facilitate and track student placements
  • Maintaining student and graduate records
  • Managing team performance

The Director of Student Services should hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree and have at least two years of related experience. Managerial experience strongly preferred. The qualified candidate should have leadership, human resources and student experience and must be comfortable presenting in front of a classroom providing "workshops" on resumes and interviewing skills.
